Indira Varma was born on 10th Oct 1940 in Peshawar Pakistan bur later moved to Delhi. Currently she is residing in the same city. A senior cambridge who had worked with City Bank for ten years and for the same period or so with Thomas cook, she had an interest for Urdu literature, gazal, nazm at a young age. Her noted work include Hum Umr Khayal, (Translated by Rakhshanda Jalil), Shafaq ke Rang (Translated by Rakhshanda Jalil) and Romancing Tagore,which is actually a collection of 100 love poems of Tagore transcreated into Urdu Nazm under the umbrella of Vishva Bharati Shanti Niketan.
