Mushir Jhanjhanvi was born at Jhanjhana, Muzaffarnagar on December 24, 1926. His father Dr. Syed Nazir Hussain Alvi was also a poet. Mushir did B.T. from Aligarh Muslim University and M.A. Urdu from Delhi University. From 1950 to 1988, Mushiir was teaching at Fatehpuri Muslim School. He was awarded by Delhi Government for his excellent teaching. Urdu Akademi also awarded for his poetry. He died on March 21, 1990 in Delhi.
