Court, open area (of a house,—the 'play-ground' of children), an area; a plain; a chess-board; a space (of place or time), period, time, duration, term; an interval, a while; delay:—ʻarṣa tang honā, v.n. 'Space or room to be scanty'; to be in a strait, or in difficulties, to be hard pressed:—ʻarṣa lagānā, v.n. To take a long time; to delay:—is ʻarṣe-meṅ, In the interval, in the mean time.
