شوق آسودۂ تحلیل معمہ نہ ہوا
تیرا بیمار طلسمات سے اچھا نہ ہوا
تو نے دے کر مجھے جو خواب اتارا تھا یہاں
ان میں اک خواب بھی تیرا کوئی سچا نہ ہوا
امتداد سحر و شام زمانوں کی قسم
ایک بھی رنگ مرے پیار کا پھیکا نہ ہوا
شوق بے حد نے کسی گام ٹھہرنے نہ دیا
ورنہ کس گام مرا خون تمنا نہ ہوا
نافۂ مشک نے پیچھا نہیں چھوڑا سالمؔ
مجھ سا حیواں کوئی جنگل میں دوانہ نہ ہوا
