Muhammad Aslam Ansari, uses "Aslam" as his pen name was born on 30 April 1939, in Multan, Pakistan. He began writing poetry at an early age, and became famous in his locality for his poetry by age of 12. He was an assistant professor at the Government College, Multan. Till date 20 books written by him have been published. He has also written some famous ghazals which have been sung by popular singers.
His works include Khwab-o-Aagahi, Iqbal Ahd Aafreen, Kaafiyaat (a poetical translation of the Kaafiyat of Khwaja Fareedi) etc. are the collections of his creative works.
