بڑی مشکل سے نیچے بیٹھتے ہیں
جو تیرے ساتھ اٹھتے بیٹھتے ہیں
اکیلے بیٹھنا ہوگا کسی کو
اگر ہم تم اکٹھے بیٹھتے ہیں
اور اب اٹھنا پڑا نا اگلی صف سے
کہا بھی تھا کہ پیچھے بیٹھتے ہیں
یہیں پر سلسلہ موقوف کر دو
زیادہ تجربے لے بیٹھتے ہیں
نگاہیں کیوں نہ ٹھہریں اس پہ آفاقؔ
شجر پر ہی پرندے بیٹھتے ہیں
