ایک پہنچا ہوا مسافر ہے
دل بھٹکنے میں پھر بھی ماہر ہے
کون لایا ہے عشق پر ایماں
میں بھی کافر ہوں تو بھی کافر ہے
درد کا وہ جو حرف اول تھا
درد کا وہ ہی حرف آخر ہے
کام ادھورا پڑا ہے خوابوں کا
آج پھر نیند غیر حاضر ہے
لاج رکھ لی تری سماعت نے
ورنہ تابشؔ بھی کوئی شاعر ہے
