اک سایۂ شام یاد آیا
اک سایۂ شام یاد آیا
خوشبو کا خرام یاد آیا
دھویا ہوا سات پانیوں میں
کیا نام تھا نام یاد آیا
لہجے میں شگفتگی گلوں کی
اک شستہ کلام یاد آیا
اچھا ہوا گور تک تو پہنچے
یاروں کو سلام یاد آیا
اے موجۂ باد کیا ہوا ہے
کیا تازہ پیام یاد آیا
کچھ اور زمیں میں گڑ گئے ہم
جب اپنا مقام یاد آیا
مقتل سے مڑ آئے گھر کو گوہرؔ
شاید کوئی کام یاد آیا
