qasam uThā rahā thā maiñ azaan ho rahī thī
maiñ us se ishq pe ghanToñ se bahs kar rahā thā
na mere ashk ruke na thakān ho rahī thī
judā huī thī vo jab dil pe vaar karne ko
falak pe qaus-e-quzah bhī kamān ho rahī thī
vo laḌkī kitnī haqīqat-pasand thī 'ammār'
hañsī-ḳhushī se jo ḳhud dāstān ho rahī thī

wo laDki kitni haqiqat-pasand thi 'ammar'
