میں جہاں پاؤں دھرنے والا تھا
ایک سورج ابھرنے والا تھا
دل ہی وعدہ خلاف نکلا ہے
ورنہ میں کب مکرنے والا تھا
ایک طوفان چشم و عارض و لب
آئنوں سے گزرنے والا تھا
تو نے دل کو بچا لیا ورنہ
میں اسے خرچ کرنے والا تھا
ارتضیٰ مسکرا دیا اک دم
