तू क्या जाने तेरी बाबत क्या क्या सोचा करते हैं
तू क्या जाने तेरी बाबत क्या क्या सोचा करते हैं
आँखें मूँदे रहते हैं और तुझ को सोचा करते हैं
दूर तलक लहरें बनती हैं फैलती हैं खो जाती हैं
दिल के बासी ज़ेहन की झील में कंकर फेंका करते हैं
एक घना सा पेड़ था बरसों पहले जिस को काट दिया
शाम ढले कुछ पंछी हैं अब भी मंडलाया करते हैं
अक्सर यूँ होता है हवाएँ ठट्ठा मार के हँसती हैं
और खिड़की दरवाज़े अपना सीना पीटा करते हैं
तू ने बसाई है जो बस्ती उस की बातें तू ही जान
याँ तो बच्चे अब भी अम्माँ अब्बा खेला करते हैं
