ye vīrāna hai maiñ huuñ aur taa.ir āshiyānoñ ke
wida-e-roz-e-raushan hai gajar sham-e-ghariban ka
chara-gahon se palTe qafile wo be-zabanon ke
qadam ghar ki taraf kis shauq se uThta hai dahqan ka
ye virana hai main hun aur tair aashiyanon ke
