دور سنسان سے ساحل کے قریب
ایک جواں پیڑ کے پاس
عمر کے درد لیے، وقت کا مٹیالا دشالہ اوڑھے
بوڑھا سا پام کا اک پیڑ، کھڑا ہے کب سے
سیکڑوں سالوں کی تنہائی کے بعد
جھک کے کہتا ہے جواں پیڑ سے ''یار!
سرد سناٹا ہے!
تنہائی ہے! کچھ بات کرو!''
