اک پیڑ سر دشت تمنا نظر آیا
تا حد گماں ابر کا سایہ نظر آیا
تاریک سمندر میں جزیرہ تھا کوئی دل
سورج کسی گوشے سے ابھرتا نظر آیا
بنجر تھی زمیں جذبہ و احساس کی کب سے
صحرا میں ابلتا ہوا چشمہ نظر آیا
جنگل میں بھٹکتا وہ مسافر تھا کہ جس کو
پربت پہ محبت کا شوالہ نظر آیا
ہیں کب سے سرابوں کے تعاقب میں شمیمؔ آب
اک سرو رواں آپ کو کیا کیا نظر آیا
