H هڐي हड्डी haḍḍī [S. हड्ड+इका; see haḍḍā], s.f. Bone;—a spavin;—the hard part in the centre of a carrot or other similar root:—haḍḍī bolnā, v.n. A bone to crack:—haḍḍī-ṭūṭnā, s.m. (in Surg.) A fracture:—haḍḍī-sā, adj. (f. -sī), Bone-like, osseous:—haḍḍī-sī ho-jānā, v.n. To become like bone, to ossify:—haḍḍiyāṅ toṛnā (-kī), To break the bones (of);—to beat severely:—haḍḍiyāṅ nikalnā (-kī), The bones to stick out; to be reduced to a skeleton.
