About The Author
Rubina Shabnam was born on May 18, 1971 at Maleer Kotla, Punjab. She is a poetess (Urdu and Punjabi), author, critics and translator. She has an MA in Urdu and Persian from Patiala University and got her PHd degree for her thesis "Parveen Shakir ki nazmia shairi, tajzia aur tanqeed". She is an associate professor at a college in Maleer Kotla and is very active in academic and literary organizations in the city and has received numerous state awards too. She was a member and secretary of Punjab Urdu Academy for many years. Her poetry collection “Taaluqat ka Barzakh” was published in 2006 and she is the author, compiler and translator of several books in Urdu and Punjabi.
