Ashok Vajpayee is a well known of Hindi poet, essayist, cultural critic. He remained the chairman, Lalit Kala academy Indian national academy of arts, ministry of culture Govt of India, 2008-2011. He was awarded by the Sahitya Akademi Award given by Sahitya Akademi, in 1994 for his poetry collection "kahin nahi kahin". He is the Founder of the Miulti-Art Centre, Bharat Bhawan, in the Bhopal, Madhya Pardesh was teh first vice chancellor of the Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi Universtity.
