Profile of Khanqah Abulolaiya, Allahabad
Khanqah Halimiya Abul Ulaiya, Allahabad (Prayagraj) is one of the city's well-known and historic spiritual khanqahs. It is a distinguished branch of Khanqah Sajjadiya Abul Ulaiya, Danapur, where the traditions of spiritual guidance, Islamic learning, self-purification, and Sufi training have flourished for generations. The khanqah has been enriched by the spiritual legacy of Maulana Shah Mohammad Qasim Abul Ulai, Shah Akbar Danapuri, and Shah Mohsin Danapuri, while eminent spiritual leaders such as Haji Shah Abdullah Akbari, Shah Abdul Halim Akbari, and Hakim Shah Aziz Ahmad Abul Ulai strengthened and carried forward its tradition of guidance.
At present, Dr. Syed Shah Shamim Ahmad Gohar serves as the Sajjada Nashin of the khanqah. A distinguished scholar, writer, and poet, he continues to uphold and promote its rich scholarly, literary, and spiritual traditions.
