Jamshed is a civil servant by profession, but his passion lies in English literature, both modern and classical. He draws inspiration from renowned Urdu poets such as Faiz, Firaq, Sahir, Kaifi, Habib Jalib, and Munir Niyazi, as well as Hindi poets like Agyey, Dushyant Kumar, and Ramdhari Singh Dinkar.

As a poet, Jamshed aims to express his experiences without any filters. His works are characterised by the use of Hindustani, which seamlessly blends colloquial language. Jamshed has published two books so far: 'Syaahi' in 2018 and 'Haiku' in 2022. Next collection under publication is of English poetry.

'Syaahi,' Jamshed's first book, is a collection of poems, ghazals, and Geet  that reflect the critical issues of our present era. On the other hand, 'Haiku,' his most recent work, features a thousand haiku poems that explore our times' various confusions, sensibilities, values, and questions. These works touch on all the vital aspects of life and offer a true mirror of our society.
