ABOUT THE LIBRARY

KHaanqaah munemia qamaria, Mitan Ghat (Bihar) is regarded as one of the most distinguished, ancient, and spiritually influential khanqahs of Bihar. For centuries, it has served as an important center of Islamic learning, spiritual enlightenment, self-purification, and the Sufi tradition, where seekers of truth, scholars, and devotees have benefited from its intellectual and spiritual legacy. The khanqah stands as a living memorial to the spiritual heritage of Makhdoom Munim Pak and Ala Hazrat Shah Qamaruddin Husain Abul Ulai. Over the years, many eminent Sufi masters, scholars, and spiritual leaders have been associated with this institution, leaving a lasting impact through their religious, educational, and reformative contributions. The office of Sajjada Nashin has been adorned by distinguished personalities such as Shah Muniruddin Husain, Shah Azizuddin Husain, Raziuddin Husain, and Shah Mohammad Manzoor. At present, Dr. Syed Shah Shamimuddin Munami serves as the Sajjada Nashin and continues the scholarly and spiritual traditions of his predecessors with dedication. As an important center of the Qadiri and Abul Ulai Sufi orders, the khanqah also has several affiliated branches.

KHaanqaah munemia qamaria has made significant contributions to scholarship and publishing. It has published dozens of classical and contemporary books, while hundreds of additional works are currently under preparation for publication. Its Munemi Library is one of its most valuable intellectual assets, preserving more than 3,000 printed books and nearly 1,000 rare manuscripts and handwritten documents. The collection includes several unique manuscripts that are unavailable in other libraries, making it an important research center for scholars of Islamic studies, Sufism, history, and Urdu and Persian literature.

A selected portion of this invaluable scholarly collection is now also available through the Rekhta Digital Library, enabling readers, students, and researchers around the world to access this rare intellectual and spiritual heritage online.
