Humayun, Lahore

In 1921, Humayun was launched from Lahore by Bashir Ahmed in memory of his father, Justice Muhammad Shah Din Humayun. The magazine published scholarly, literary, cultural, and ethical articles. Creative works were featured under sections such as Bazm-e-Humayun, Jahan-Numa, Mahfil-e-Adab, and Aap Aur Hum. It also included a substantial portion dedicated to fiction and poetry. Regarding the Urdu-Hindi conflict, articles by Bashir Ahmed, Dr. Mohiuddin, Muhammad Hassan Adeeb, Tajwar Najibabadi, Maulvi Abdul Aziz, Nazir Dehlvi, and Maulana Wahiduddin were published in Humayun. Similarly, on the subject of archaeology, the magazine featured writings by Maulvi Abdullah, Bashir Ahmed, Tajwar Najibabadi, Tamkin Kazmi, Hasan Nizami, Deewana Barelvi, Mubarak Ali, Maqbool Rahman, and Mansoor Ahmed.
