tum se bichhaḌte vaqt maiñ ne
sochā thā kis tarah jiyūñgā!
kis kis se chhup ke rah sakūñgā
aañsū kahāñ kahāñ piyūñgā!
ghar meñ agar kasī ne pūchhā!
''kyā baat hai udaas kyuuñ ho''
Dar thā mujhe ki ro paḌūñgā!
lekin ye ittifāq dekho
maiñ ghar gayā to mere ghar kā
ek ek fard ro rahā thaa!
tum se bichhaDte waqt main ne
socha tha kis tarah jiyunga!

aansu kahan kahan piyunga!
ghar mein agar kasi ne puchha!
kya baat hai udas kyun ho
