'Angaare' Ki Kahaniyan

In 1932, a book containing

9 stories and a play was published from Lucknow under the name 'Angare'. Later on, the writings in this book came to be the genesis of modern Urdu fiction. The themes of the stories included in the book were so unconventional and outrightly rebellious that the book was confiscated by government order and declared obscene, immoral, and anti-religious.
