शेर-ओ-अदब के समाजी सरोकार भी वाज़ेह रहे हैं और शायरों ने इब्तिदा ही से अपने आप पास के मसाएल को शायरी का हिस्सा बनाया है अल-बत्ता एक दौर ऐसा आया जब शायरी को समाजी इन्क़िलाब के एक ज़रिये के तौर पर इख़्तियार किया गया और समाज के निचले, गिरे पड़े और किसान तबक़े के मसाएल का इज़हार शायरी का बुनियादी मौज़ू बन गया। आप इन शेरों में देखेंगे कि किसान तबक़ा ज़िंदगी करने के अमल में किस कर्ब और दुख से गुज़र्ता है और उस की समाजी हैसियत क्या है।किसानों पर की जाने वाली शायरी की और भी कई जहतें है। हमारा ये इन्तिख़ाब पढ़िए।

मुस्कुराहट को हम इंसानी चेहरे की एक आम सी हरकत समझ कर आगे बढ़ जाते हैं लेकिन हमारे इन्तिख़ा कर्दा इन अशआर में देखिए कि चेहरे का ये ज़रा सा बनाव किस क़दर मानी-ख़ेज़ी लिए हुए है। इश्क़-ओ-आशिक़ी के बयानिए में इस की कितनी जहतें हैं और कितने रंग हैं। माशूक़ मुस्कुराता है तो आशिक़ उस से किन किन मानी तक पहुँचता है। शायरी का ये इन्तिख़ाब एक हैरत कदे से कम नहीं इस में दाख़िल होइये और लुत्फ़ लीजिए।
