H زچ zić [for jić, prob.=S. जित, rt. जि], part. adj. Defeated, overcome; checkmated; reduced to straits, powerless, helpless; weak, feeble;—teasing, harassing, confounding:—zić karnā, v.t. To defeat, overcome; to checkmate:—zić honā or ho-jānā, v.n. To be defeated, &c.; to be teased or harassed; to be sick or weary (of, -se).
