ghunche ka jawab ho gaya hai
ġhunche kā javāb ho gayā hai
dil khil ke gulāb ho gayā hai
pā kar tab-o-tāb soz-e-ġham se
aañsū dur-e-nāb ho gayā hai
kyā fikr-e-bahār o mahfil-e-yār
ab ḳhatm vo baab ho gayā hai
ummīd-e-sukūñ kā zikr-e-ra.anā
sab ḳhvāb-o-sarāb ho gayā hai
marnā bhī nahīñ hai apne bas meñ
jiinā bhī azaab ho gayā hai
ghunche ka jawab ho gaya hai

jina bhi azab ho gaya hai
