About The Author
Namjma Mahmood, She graduated from Karamat Hussain Girls College, Lucknow where Razia Sajjad Zaheer was her Urdu teacher. She did her MA and PhD in English from Aligarh Muslim University and taught there for more than 30 years. She has many books to her credit: The collection of short stories, “Pani aur chattan” , the novel “Jungle ki awaz ”, the poetry collection “ rait mein Jheel” and her famous book of research and criticism “Syed Hamid- keh goom is mein hain afaaq”. She also has a number of works in English.
