this book, titled 'al-qamus al-azhari', is a comprehensive urdu-arabic dictionary. it compiles 70,000 old and new urdu words and terms, incorporating specialized vocabulary from fields such as banking, medicine, information technology, mobile communication, and engineering. the dictionary also features over 5,000 modern arabic expressions, more than 5,000 urdu idioms and proverbs with their arabic equivalents, and a dedicated appendix covering anatomical terms, educational degrees, government ministries, official and unofficial institutions, and over 4,000 arabic translations for common english short forms. additionally, it provides samples of regional arabic dialects used in egypt.
