this book is an urdu translation of mulla muhammad ghiyasuddin rampuri's persian work "risalah me'raj-ul-arooz," a concise and comprehensive treatise on prosody (arooz). originally part of his famous dictionary "ghiyas-ul-lughat," it has been translated by dr. sabir sambhali and dr. arif hasan khan for contemporary urdu readers. the translators have also added modern research and annotations to the original text to benefit students of prosody more effectively.
