About The Author
Graduated from Pakistan and pursued higher education in computer science. Spent a few years in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Has been residing in Canada for the past thirty years. Six poetry collections and a selected compilation have been published. In poetry, Ghazal is the preferred form of expression.
The titles of the six books are "Tere Khayal Ki Khushbu", "Tarang", "Dhanak", "Dil Darya", "Mehrab-e-Noor", and "Malhar". A selection of these works has been published under the title "Phir Ishq Jabon Thehra".
Highly active in literary activities in Canada, she is the organizer of Ghalib Academy of Canada, under which she arranges poetry symposiums (Mushairas) and other literary programs. Renowned singers have sung her Ghazals. She also has a keen interest in music.
