chal base jo ki the jaane vaale
ab nahīñ phir ke vo aane vaale
mujh ko dikhlā de mirā aḳhtar-e-baḳht
chāñd sūraj ke banāne vaale
log kahte haiñ tumheñ rāhat-e-jān
tum to ho dil ke dikhāne vaale
ham se aur bār-e-musībat uTThe
ham to haiñ naaz uThāne vaale
terī rahmat hai ġhazab par ġhālib
roz-e-mahshar ke Darāne vaale
kabhī bhūle se idhar bhī aa jā
suune fitne ke jagāne vaale
dil bhī mal Daal kabhī 'anjum' kā
are mehñdī ke lagāne vaale
