fazā ke siine meñ naġhmoñ ke lai utāro to
usī adā se zarā phir mujhe pukāro to
mire ġhamoñ ke dhundalke bhī chhaT hī jā.eñge
tum apne gesū-e-shab-rañg ko sañvāro to
kahāñ ga.e mujhe tārīkiyoñ meñ uljhā kar
hayāt-e-rafta ke lamho zarā pukāro to
ḳhizāñ-rasīda fazāoñ ko ro.o.ge kab tak
bahār gosh-bar-āvāz hai pukāro to
phir is ke ba.ad sahar hī sahar hai ai 'arshad'
ruḳh-e-hayāt ke tevar zarā nikhāro to
dilon se yas-o-alam ke naqab utaro to
sahar bhi rup dikhaegi shab guzaro to
faza ke sine mein naghmon ke lai utaro to
usi ada se zara phir mujhe pukaro to
mere ghamon ke dhundalke bhi chhaT hi jaenge
tum apne gesu-e-shab-rang ko sanwaro to
kahan gae mujhe tarikiyon mein uljha kar
hayat-e-rafta ke lamho zara pukaro to
