ghar mein tere paigham ko tarsen
ghar meñ tire paiġhām ko tarseñ
bāhar jalva-e-bām ko tarseñ
tum sūraj aur chāñd se khelo
ham ki charāġh-e-shām ko tarseñ
tum ki shikast-e-jām ke aadī
ham ki shikasta jaam ko tarseñ
aur abhī kuchh raat hai baaqī
aur abhī ārām ko tarseñ
aaj hazāroñ kaam haiñ baaqī
phir bhī hazāroñ kaam ko tarseñ
āzādī ke ūñche sūraj
galiyāñ tere naam ko tarseñ

hum ki charagh-e-sham ko tarsen
tum ki shikast-e-jam ke aadi
hum ki shikasta jam ko tarsen

aur abhi aaram ko tarsen
aaj hazaron kaam hain baqi
phir bhi hazaron kaam ko tarsen
aazadi ke unche suraj
galiyan tere nam ko tarsen
