گمان خاک میں سب کے ملانے والا ہے
کوئی چراغ ہوائیں بجھانے والا ہے
افق افق پہ مہکتی ہوئی شفق سے کھلا
کوئی ستارہ کہیں جگمگانے والا ہے
نہ جانے کون پس چشم ہے جنوں پیشہ
جو آنسوؤں کے خزانے لٹانے والا ہے
یہ کون آگ لگانے پہ ہے یہاں مامور
یہ کون شہر کو مقتل بنانے والا ہے
