ham kisī kārvāñ ke the hī nahīñ
apne dil meñ na dī jagah us ne
ham makīñ us makāñ ke the hī nahīñ
mausam-e-gul meñ bhī na khul paa.e
phuul jo gulsitāñ ke the hī nahīñ
tum ko sāhil amaañ vo kyā dete
jo ki qaa.il amaañ ke the hī nahīñ
