haqiqat se jo aashna ho gaya
haqīqat se jo āshnā ho gayā
quyūd-e-havas se rihā ho gayā
nuqūsh-e-amal ko miTā kar koī
amīr-e-tilism-e-duā ho gayā
vo qaid-e-tasavvur se āzād hai
latāfat kā jo aa.ina ho gayā
tahī-dāmanī se pashemāñ the ham
vo tar-dāmanī par ḳhafā ho gayā
hai chehroñ pe kyuuñ chhā.ī pazhmurdagī
shagufta diloñ ko ye kyā ho gayā
jo ḳhud ḳhāliq-e-mudda.ā thā kabhī
vahī banda-e-mudda.ā ho gayā
'vafā' mai-kade ab na jaa.e koī
vo riñd-e-azal pārsā ho gayā
haqiqat se jo aashna ho gaya
quyud-e-hawas se riha ho gaya
nuqush-e-amal ko miTa kar koi
amir-e-tilism-e-dua ho gaya
wo qaid-e-tasawwur se aazad hai
latafat ka jo aaina ho gaya
tahi-damani se pasheman the hum
wo tar-damani par KHafa ho gaya
hai chehron pe kyun chhai pazhmurdagi
shagufta dilon ko ye kya ho gaya
jo KHud KHaliq-e-muddaa tha kabhi
wahi banda-e-muddaa ho gaya
'wafa' mai-kade ab na jae koi
wo rind-e-azal parsa ho gaya
