ye aa.ina mire hāthoñ se chhūT jā.egā
maiñ toḌ saktā huuñ pal meñ sukūt-e-sañg-nasab
magar ye dhyān ki ik shaḳhs ruuTh jā.egā
zarūr bujh ke rahegā ruḳh-e-safar-talabī
ye aabla hai to ik roz phuuT jā.egā
yaqīn thā ki koī sāneha guzarnā hai
gumāñ na thā ki tirā saath chhūT jā.egā
ham ek ahd-e-abad-yāb kā kharā sach haiñ
hamāre saath hamārā ye jhuuT jā.egā
is ek Dar mein ki aaKHir ko TuT jaega
ye aaina mere hathon se chhuT jaega
main toD sakta hun pal mein sukut-e-sang-nasab
magar ye dhyan ki ek shaKHs ruTh jaega
zarur bujh ke rahega ruKH-e-safar-talabi

guman na tha ki tera sath chhuT jaega
hum ek ahd-e-abad-yab ka khara sach hain
