jab tamāshe kā na ho chhoḌ ke aane kā malāl
kyoñ ho phir khel ke ādāb nibhāne kā malāl
aisī tanhā.ī kī lat hai ise bas kyā kahiye
ghar ko hotā hai mire lauT ke aane kā malāl
kaisā māyūs thā vo daur-e-ḳhizāñ bhī mat pūchh
thā use shāḳh se pattoñ ko girāne kā malāl
pahle to us ko bhulāne meñ ka.ī saal lage
ab ka.ī saal se hai us ko bhulāne kā malāl
terī duniyā kī taraf thī mire dil kī manzil
dil ko ab tak hai usī guzre zamāne kā malāl

teri duniya ki taraf thi mere dil ki manzil
dil ko ab tak hai usi guzre zamane ka malal
