ajab har baar jis ke qurb se tanhā huī maiñ
mudāvā thā mirā vo shaḳhs aur āzār bhī thā
tire hī zikr meñ bechain rahtā hai mirā dil
tirī hī yaad se dil shaad dil afgār bhī thā
sajāyā thā jise palkoñ pe nāzoñ se vahī ḳhvāb
'sarāhat' merī āñkhoñ par zarā sā baar bhī thā
