KHamoshi mein bhi goyai bahut hai
ḳhamoshī meñ bhī goyā.ī bahut hai
samajhnā ho to tanhā.ī bahut hai
mirā sarmāya yādoñ kī havelī
mirī ḳhātir ye añgnā.ī bahut hai
Dubonā hai to le chal duur mujh ko
kināre par to rusvā.ī bahut hai
mirī gum-nāmiyāñ mash.hūr hoñgī
tumhārā shahr balvā.ī bahut hai
ye duniyā hai ise pahchān 'bismil'
azal hī se ye harjā.ī bahut hai
