khila hua tera chehra gulab ka sa tha
khilā huā tirā chehra gulāb kā sā thā
aur us pe nuur kisī māhtāb kā sā thā
bahār kī koī taujīh aur kyā kiije
tamām rang tumhāre shabāb kā sā thā
tamām shahr-e-tamannā meñ ghuum kar dekhā
vahī samāñ dil-e-ḳhāna-ḳharāb kā sā thā
tire qarīb to ḳhud se ba.iid ho ke rahe
tumhārā lutf tumhāre itaab kā sā thā
vo ek pal jo tumhāre baġhair biit gayā
vo ek pal bhī to yaum-e-hisāb kā sā thā
khila hua tera chehra gulab ka sa tha

wahi saman dil-e-KHana-KHarab ka sa tha

wo ek pal bhi to yaum-e-hisab ka sa tha
