lamhon ki ghuTan KHauf ka tufan bahut hai
lamhoñ kī ghuTan ḳhauf kā tūfān bahut hai
merī hī tarah vaqt pareshān bahut hai
ham jis ke liye shahr-e-sakūñ chhoḌ ke aa.e
vo dasht-e-junūñ-ḳhez bhī sunsān bahut hai
mujh se mirī manzil kā pata pūchhne vaalo
har rāsta mere liye anjān bahut hai
har moḌ pe ik koh-e-girāñ ban ke khaḌe haiñ
TuuTe hue logoñ meñ abhī shaan bahut hai
ābād the jis meñ tirī yāroñ ke qabīle
vo qarya-e-jāñ in dinoñ vīrān bahut hai
ai dosto dukh-dard ke qisse na sunāo
'ḳhurshīd'-sahar aaj pareshān bahut hai

aabaad the jis mein teri yaron ke qabile
wo qarya-e-jaan in dinon viran bahut hai
ai dosto dukh-dard ke qisse na sunao
'KHurshid'-sahar aaj pareshan bahut hai
