luTa sukun mera dil-e-be-qarar ne
luuTā sukūn merā dil-e-be-qarār ne
mujh ko ḳhizāñ banā diyā merī bahār ne
tujh ko yaqīñ nahīñ hai to ai charḳh pūchh le
dekhā hai hausla mirā barq-o-sharār ne
shām-e-firāq chāñd sitāre nahīñ to kyā
raushan kiye haiñ daaġh dil-e-dāġh-dār ne
ahd-e-shabāb abr-e-siyah mai-kada-ba-dosh
tauba ko merī toḌ diyā hai bahār ne
'muztar' junūn-e-shauq kī mere navāzisheñ
talvoñ ko tere chūmā hai sahrā ke ḳhaar ne
