ki mere sar se sūraj Dhal rahā hai
ḳhushā sāthī vo pichhle mausamoñ ke
ye tanhā.ī kā aalam khal rahā hai
barā-e-shab jalāo mish.al-e-jāñ
thakā-māñda ye sūraj Dhal rahā hai
safar meñ ye gumāñ hai har qadam par
ki mere saath koī chal rahā hai
raqam the jis pe lamhe besh-qīmat
vo kāġhaz āñsuoñ se gal rahā hai
tasavvur hai nasha hai dhaḌkaneñ haiñ
'suḳhan' sheroñ meñ koī Dhal rahā hai
mujhe ehsas ye pal pal raha hai

KHusha sathi wo pichhle mausamon ke
ye tanhai ka aalam khal raha hai
bara-e-shab jalao mishal-e-jaan
thaka-manda ye suraj Dhal raha hai
safar mein ye guman hai har qadam par
ki mere sath koi chal raha hai
raqam the jis pe lamhe besh-qimat
wo kaghaz aansuon se gal raha hai
tasawwur hai nasha hai dhaDkanen hain
'suKHan' sheron mein koi Dhal raha hai
