mujhe fikr-o-sar-e-wafa hai hanuz
mujhe fikr-o-sar-e-vafā hai hanūz
bāda-e-ishq nā-rasā hai hanūz
o nazar dil se pherne vaale
dil tujhī par miTā huā hai hanūz
saarī duniyā ho nā-umīd to kyā
mujhe terā hī aasrā hai hanūz
āstāñ se abhī nazar na haTā
koī taqdīr-āzmā hai hanūz
mahviyyat be-sabab nahīñ 'sīmāb'
ruuh par koī chhā rahā hai hanūz
mujhe fikr-o-sar-e-wafa hai hanuz
baada-e-ishq na-rasa hai hanuz
o nazar dil se pherne wale
dil tujhi par miTa hua hai hanuz
sari duniya ho na-umid to kya
mujhe tera hi aasra hai hanuz
aastan se abhi nazar na haTa
koi taqdir-azma hai hanuz
mahwiyyat be-sabab nahin 'simab'
ruh par koi chha raha hai hanuz
