phir etibar-e-ishq ke qabil nahin raha
phir e'tibār-e-ishq ke qābil nahīñ rahā
jo dil tirī nazar se girā dil nahīñ rahā
nashtar chubho.e ab na pashemānī-e-nigāh
mujh ko to shikva-e-ḳhalish-e-dil nahīñ rahā
maujeñ ubhār kar mujhe jis samt le chaleñ
hadd-e-nigāh tak kahīñ sāhil nahīñ rahā
kyā kahiye ab ma.āl-e-mohabbat kī sarguzisht
yaad us kī rah ga.ī hai magar 'dil' nahīñ rahā

yaad us ki rah gai hai magar 'dil' nahin raha
