ki gaahe ġham gahe ġham-ḳhvār ho ga.ī koī yaad
kahīñ se mere ḳhilāf uTh gayā koī manzar
kahīñ se terī taraf-dār ho ga.ī koī yaad
udhar to kāġhazī phūloñ ko paanī detā rahā
idhar gulāb se talvār ho ga.ī koī yaad
ajab mazāq hai ya.anī mire pe sau durre
girā maiñ thak ke to hushiyār ho ga.ī koī yaad
maiñ DhūñDhtā thā to poshīda ho ga.ī koī shakl
maiñ so rahā thā to bedār ho ga.ī koī yaad
magar hayāt kā malba uThānā paḌtā hai
so chārasāz-e-ġham-e-yār ho ga.ī koī yaad
