sāmne ik shadīd mushkil hai
us ke pīchhe mazīd mushkil hai
ghar ujaḌne kā Dar nahīñ hotā
be-gharī ik mufīd mushkil hai
ek mushkil meñ dūsrī mushkil
goyā mushkil kashīd mushkil hai
aaj hairat kā sāmnā hai mujhe
aaj guft-o-shunīd mushkil hai
log āsāniyoñ meñ DhūñDte haiñ
zindagī kī kalīd mushkil hai
tere harbe rivāyatī haiñ 'azīz'
merī mushkil jadīd mushkil hai
