shab ko dil ka zaKHm taza ho gaya
shab ko dil kā zaḳhm taazā ho gayā
rote rote hī saverā ho gayā
de rahe ho tum sadā ab kis liye
shahr meñ har shaḳhs bahrā ho gayā
jab ḳhushī milne lagī to saath hī
ik nayā ḳhadsha bhī paidā ho gayā
kyoñ na ham tabdīl kar Dāleñ ise
ab libās-e-zīst mailā ho gayā
dostoñ kī ġham-gusārī ke sabab
apnī rusvā.ī kā charchā ho gayā
ham-navā jitne bhī the bad-zan hue
lījiye phir maiñ akelā ho gayā
shab ko dil ka zaKHm taza ho gaya

jab KHushi milne lagi to sath hi
ek naya KHadsha bhi paida ho gaya
kyon na hum tabdil kar Dalen ise
ab libas-e-zist maila ho gaya
doston ki gham-gusari ke sabab
apni ruswai ka charcha ho gaya
ham-nawa jitne bhi the bad-zan hue
lijiye phir main akela ho gaya
