shor mat karnā abhī merī ġhazal ke pīchhe
hasrateñ soī haiñ is tāj-mahal ke pīchhe
ġhaur kartā huuñ to kuchh zā.iqa baḌh jaatā hai
āñdhiyāñ jhelī haiñ peḌoñ ne bhī phal ke pīchhe
bas yahī soch ke maiñ apne uThātā huuñ qadam
ruuh chaltī hai buzurgoñ kī amal ke pīchhe
shor mat karna abhi meri ghazal ke pichhe
hasraten soi hain is taj-mahal ke pichhe
ghaur karta hun to kuchh zaiqa baDh jata hai
aandhiyan jheli hain peDon ne bhi phal ke pichhe
bas yahi soch ke main apne uThata hun qadam
